Safety of Natural Resources

Finite resources cannot sustain unlimited demand.

Bharat holds a small share of the world's fresh water and arable land, yet supports the largest population on earth. Groundwater tables are falling, rivers are stressed, forest cover is under pressure and air quality in our cities is among the worst in the world. These are not isolated environmental problems — they are the direct arithmetic of too many people drawing on too few resources.

TAXAB campaigns for conservation as a civic duty and for policy that recognises the link between population growth and resource depletion. Protecting rivers, forests, wildlife and clean air is not a luxury for a developing nation; it is the foundation on which any lasting development must stand.

We ask every citizen to treat water, electricity and land as shared national assets, and we ask government to plan resource use with the population of tomorrow in mind, not just today.
